I can’t stop

bombarding you with the pictures of my holidays in th East. Maybe because it is more interesting than writing an article on changing livelihood strategies in Gyimes, going to university meetings or even sitting in an office, evaluating a REDD project in Madagascar. [Yes, this is all part of my life. But not now.] Now I am trying to communicate to you the feelings I had when I stared at the scenery in front of my friends’ house in Fleeth, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Eastern Germany and later in Tihany, Lake Balaton, Hungary.

To look at what you see below made  realize: I can be calm, I can relax, I can stop being restless. Because even in the highly unlikely case of me never getting the chance to ride a car down to Mali and sending postcards to everyone from Timbuktu … – even then I have good old Eastern Europe at my doorstep as an inexhaustible source of inspiration and charm.

Valóban, akkor azt mondtad, hogy tiszta Balcsi! Vicces. Csak Ghánában nem mertem fürödni, mert állítólag valmi amöbák voltak a vízben, melyek a börödbe rágták volna magukat…
